By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the following terms:
1. Scope of Service
The Edit is a design advisory service providing guidance, recommendations, and professional opinions based on the information and images you provide.
Each “decision” includes feedback and direction within the scope of the question submitted.
Once a decision has been provided, it is considered fulfilled. Revisions, re-evaluation, or changes to direction will be treated as a new decision.
2. Definition of a Decision
A “decision” is defined as one clear, focused design question that requires a single recommendation or direction.
Examples include:
- Selecting between specific furniture options
- Choosing a paint color or finish
- Determining placement or layout for a defined area
- Recommending a specific item or solution for a space
A decision should be specific and actionable. Broad, unrelated or multi-part questions may be considered multiple decisions at the sole discretion of The Edit.
Follow-up clarification directly related to the same decision is included.
3. No Guarantee of Outcomes
Design is subjective. While every recommendation is made with professional judgment and care, outcomes may vary based on execution, lighting, materials, and third-party work.
4. Client Responsibility
All final decisions, purchases, installations, and contractor selections are the sole responsibility of the client.
5. Limitation of Liability
Beth Gintner and The Edit are not responsible for:
- Contractor errors or workmanship
- Product defects, delays, or damages
- Installation issues
- Any dissatisfaction resulting from implementation of recommendations
By using this service, you agree that all decisions are made at your own discretion and risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Edit and Beth Gintner shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use or implementation of any design recommendations.
All recommendations are provided as professional opinion only. The client assumes full responsibility for decisions, actions, purchases, and outcomes.
6. Subscription Terms
- $89/month with a 3-month minimum commitment
- The initial term is billed upfront and is non-refundable
- After the first 3 months, you may cancel at any time, your subcription will continue on a montly basis until cancelled.
- Please note that subscriptions are client managed. It is the clients responsibility to manage and cancel their subscription. No refunds will be issued for unused time or failure to cancel.
- Unused decisions do not roll over month to month and expire at the end of each billing period.
- Failure to use the service, submit questions, or request decisions does not pause, extend, or refund the subscription.
7. Communication & Usage
This service is intended for residential design guidance only and does not replace licensed architectural, engineering, or contractor services.
The Edit is intented for focused, reasonable use. Excessive, repetitive, or misuse of the services may result in limitations or termination of the access at the sole discretion of The Edit.
8. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any updates.
